Your Christian Cowboy Resource

In death and now life, George and Andrea Terry have come as close to looking God in the face as we can in this world and they will tell you it's both heart-wrenching and hope-filling.

Colton Terry lived 100 days, defying the odds of ever being born after being diagnosed in the womb with Edwards Syndrome, an extra chromosome causing numerous development complications.

His story from almost two years ago was one of courage as George and Andrea defied odds and pressure from doctors to abort young Colton and see the baby brought into this world and his outcome trusted to God's hands.

As heartbreaking as the experience was, George, a cowboy God firmly placed in my life when I first stepped out into ministry almost seven years ago, was determined to trust Colton to God and enjoy whatever time He would give them. (You can read the original story here: )

As painful as it was and as much work as was needed to care for Colton, neither would do it any differently, seeing Colton born when he was not expected to survive and seeing him come home, if only for a short time, when he wasn't expected to ever leave the tubes and machines of the hospital.

They never took their eyes off of God and as difficult as it was to lose Colton, George's faith wasn't challenged. He trusted God through it and rather than blaming him for taking Colton away, he saw it as time God gave them together.

Then, several months later, more devastating news would come.

At a medical appointment to see about having another baby, Andrea was told there was only a one percent chance of her ever getting pregnant again.

This had the ability to be crippling for the couple but 'something' told her otherwise. Andrea new her body and while through the other tests she was given, a pregnancy test wasn't deemed necessary she took one that evening.

She was pregnant and you can't convince George that it was anything less than a gift from God.

Christian Terry was born two weeks ago, healthy, whole and miraculous. Their story shows how God's glory can be seen in both the seemingly horrible and wonderful times of our lives.

Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe. Hebrews 12:28

Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
